Why aren’t people seeing films in Theaters because they are accustomed to YouTube and other OTT platforms?

by live

The reason for the decline in theater attendance could be attributed to the growing popularity of YouTube and other OTT platforms. The decrease in foot traffic after the ‘Kalki 2898’ Storm, along with the lack of major film releases, may have also contributed to this trend. Additionally, the audience’s preference for big stars over lesser-known actors, coupled with the high cost of movie tickets, popcorn, and transportation, has led to a decrease in theater visits. The convenience of accessing entertainment on mobile devices has further impacted theater occupancy levels. Despite this, big-name actors continue to draw in crowds and boost ticket sales, while smaller films struggle to attract audiences. However, with the release of potentially successful films in August, we may see an improvement in theater attendance.
