After the disaster of Guntur Kaaram starring Mahesh Babu, it seems like no amount of planetary appeasement rituals, homams, or pujas are working in favor of Trivikram Srinivas. In his career, no other director has faced as many plagiarism allegations, criticism from actress Poonam Kaur, and controversies related to his friendship with Pawan Kalyan. Things went so far that even in Pawan Kalyan’s affidavit, a loan taken from Trivikram was mentioned—stirring political circles.
During Y.S. Jagan’s political wave, there were even speculations that the government might target Trivikram, but astrology seemed to have shielded him. Despite all this, his wife found success as a producer, and financially, Trivikram is doing very well. But lately, the art of winning over heroes seems to be eluding him.
Once upon a time, Allu Arjun was considered Trivikram’s go-to hero, but now that project has been pushed back by two years due to Atlee’s film with Allu Arjun. Even after that, whether the Allu Arjun–Trivikram combo will happen is doubtful. A project with Siva Karthikeyan was considered but eventually dropped.
Now, Trivikram has only one possible opportunity ahead: Victory Venkatesh. Why? Because he is riding high on success with ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnadu’. Apparently, Trivikram pitched an idea to Venkatesh recently, which he liked and gave the green signal. Pre-production has reportedly begun, and if everything goes well astrologically, the movie is expected to go on sets in July.
Venkatesh, however, is said to have asked for a proper bound script before starting the shoot, wondering why there’s such a rush. Sources say Venkatesh also suggested that Trivikram get an opinion from renowned screenplay analyst Suresh Babu, just to be safe
