Tamil hero ‘Simbu’ has set an example that all other Tamil heroes with star status should learn from. Despite having a smaller market in Telugu states, he showcased his big heart by donating six lakh rupees to the Chief Ministers’ relief funds of both states. At a time when thousands of acres of land were washed away by floods, leaving millions of people devastated and without hope, it is surprising that no other Tamil hero has responded to the situation.
Tamil heroes release their movies not only in Tamil Nadu but also in the Telugu states, where they have built a considerable fan following. In some instances, Telugu audiences have preferred Tamil films during festival seasons like Sankranti, contributing to huge box office revenues. Tamil movie remake rights have also been sold for crores of rupees in the Telugu industry.
Amidst all these superstars, Simbu is the first Tamil actor to donate to the Chief Ministers’ relief funds of both states, setting a commendable example for others. Hopefully, other Tamil superstars with a market in Telugu states will follow his lead by donating and showing their generosity.
