Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD) has New Director

Dheeraj Pande, Additional Director will be taking over the charge of Director, Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD) on 01.05.2024 from  B. Saravanan, who has laid down the office of Director, AMD on 30.04.2024.
AMD is the exploration and research wing for resource augmentation of atomic minerals under the administrative control of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE).
Shri Pande has joined AMD in 1988 after obtaining M.Sc. (Geology) degree from University of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He has been actively involved in geological and geochemical exploration, research and augmentation for atomic minerals in different geological domains of India over the last three decades. His exploration acumen has been recognized at national level and he has been conferred with ‘National Geoscience Award 2019’ for the development of Rohil Uranium Deposit, Rajasthan. He has been efficiently guiding the ongoing exploration activities and was monitoring the progress of the plan projects of the Directorate since last decade in different administrative capacities showcasing strong leadership and management skills.
