TTD member Bhanu Prakash Reddy made sensational revelations while speaking to the media. He stated that during the previous YSRCP government, from 2019 to 2024, large-scale corruption took place, and that the government failed to provide security even to Apadamokkulavadu and Anadharaksakudu.
He said that complaints were received regarding corruption in the Parakamani, Tulabharam, the ghee used in prasadam, and even the shawls draped on devotees after the Lord’s darshan. Because of these complaints, they submitted the samples to an expert committee for review. The expert committee, after examination, reported that the shawls were of extremely poor quality.
He further demanded that strict action be taken against the suppliers responsible. Calling the entire episode very shameful, he said that the people of Andhra Pradesh would not forgive the YSRCP. He estimated that the shawl scam alone involved nearly ₹50 crore, and stated that the NDA alliance would conduct a thorough investigation into it.
He repeatedly emphasized during the press meet that the NDA would take all necessary action strictly within the legal framework.
