Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s manner of speaking, which hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus, is disgraceful, said TTD Board member Bhanu Prakash Reddy in a video statement released on Wednesday.
Speaking on this occasion, Bhanu Prakash Reddy challenged whether Revanth Reddy has the courage to criticize Allah or Jesus in the same way.
He demanded that Revanth Reddy withdraw the comments he made about Hindu gods, who are revered as deities, and immediately apologise to Hindus.
He said it is a part of Hindu tradition to worship even the five elements — stones, trees, and anthills.
He warned that anyone who speaks in a demeaning or obscene manner about the practices that Hindus have been following for thousands of years will have to pay a heavy price.
He ridiculed Revanth Reddy, saying that a person who doesn’t even know which party he will be in on any given day talking about Hindu gods is laughable.
He cautioned that the Congress Party and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy have no moral right to criticise Hindu gods and goddesses in the name of politics or political parties.
