Renowned director Vamshi Paidipally, known for his emotionally resonant and commercially viable films, has been quietly crafting a story for Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan over the past several months. To refine the narrative, Vamshi and his writing team even took a trip to Goa for an intensive script development session.
This collaboration is expected to be backed by top producer Dil Raju, who appears to be reshaping his creative vision after the lukewarm response to his much-hyped film Game Changer. Post the setback, Dil Raju publicly admitted his missteps and has been actively making efforts to re-establish his production house’s credibility. His recent success with Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnadu is seen as a turning point, signaling a change in his approach to filmmaking.
In line with this new direction, Dil Raju recently unveiled a digital platform aimed at nurturing emerging talent in acting, direction, and production—utilizing AI as a key resource to empower the next generation of cinema professionals.
Interestingly, Dil Raju had earlier explored a potential big-ticket collaboration with director Bobby, who pitched a concept for a film starring Hrithik Roshan. However, that project failed to materialize.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan, following the mediocre response from to ‘Sitare Zammeen Par’ a film reportedly linked with Director Lokesh Kanagaraj and scheduled to go on floors in September 2026, seems to be reconsidering his creative choices. He is currently producing high-profile projects like Lahore 1947, featuring Sunny Deol, and biopics on industrialist Ratan Tata and noted personality Vijay Nikam.
Given this landscape, industry insiders suggest that if Aamir Khan agrees to collaborate with Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally, it could mark a major revival for both the producer and the director. Reports from Bollywood circles hint that Aamir is indeed showing a strong interest in teaming up with a Telugu filmmaker, adding fuel to the speculation.
Should this project take off, it would not only signal a powerful North-South collaboration but also possibly redefine the next phase in all their careers—especially for Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally.
