Dy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, R&B Minister K Venkat Reddy, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, visited the 40 km underground tunnel ( being built below Amrabad reserve forest) from Srisailam reservoir which will bring 30 TMC water from Srisailam dead storage to Combined Nalgonda district . This SLBC tunnel work, being executed at a cost of rs 4600 crores will irrigate 3 lakh acres in combined Nalgonda district. Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy set defined timelines and directed irrigation CE and the executing agency JP associates to complete the project by September 2027.
